The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission is thinking about moving some of its offices to Lagos, as per a document obtained by Channels.
The memo, dated February 14, 2024, explained that the decision aims to improve service delivery, cut operational costs, and make better use of assets in Lagos.
It stated, “To boost organizational efficiency, foster industry growth, and manage office space in Abuja, we are exploring the idea of relocating specific units to Lagos.
This move is motivated by the desire to improve service delivery, cut operational costs, and maximize our assets in Lagos.
Therefore, each department is requested to identify and provide a list of units capable of operating independently with minimal supervision.
Submissions for the above should be made by the close of business on Friday, February 23, 2024.
